Locked In🔐 earned for a 3-day streak!

I unfortunately never made it back into the gym given my foot pain actually got worse. But I hope that everyone had an amazing and productive reset course!

Alexa A I definitely need to look for the positives 😅 otherwise I just know I would spiral into a not so great space!

I’m starting back tomorrow with gym stuff since I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago in class. But this is one of the most recent injuries for me, and it gave me a good reminder of my recovery routine. So recently sleep has been my biggest focus! But oh boy am I ready to get going again tomorrow 😅

This schedule is just gonna be an additional part to my main goal, which is to get a lot of myself back together. After 2 weeks of nutcracker, my routine took a major hit, my sleep was garbage, same with my food intake (or when I was eating it was nothing good). I’m excited for this one to be something gentler to help get everything else back in track!

We are moving into our second (& last) week of nutcracker here, and even though my roles don’t offer a lot of dancing I feel like I’m on top of the world! I’ve seen so much improvement in my class work alone, my petite allegro has been sooooo much better, and I don’t feel like I’m just being weighed down by my jumps. I’ve noticed an increase in flexibility with just unlocking more strength. This has been probably my favorite split of the 3 we’ve had so far! If I can find time in the studio to get some videos I will, but it crazy over here right now😂

The Barbell Ballerina it feel more like a power issue! What sucks is that my jumps used to be my best skill, but since joining this school I feel like them gone down

Don’t have a video of it but I’m working on my Petite Allegro, and just my jumps generally. The photo is of my left side (which is my weaker side) from last week. Since I’m not working towards any big performances, I figured to pick my biggest weakness to work on for auditions!

If anyone has any tips for small jumps I would love to hear!

Nutcracker is unfortunately not that big for me this year given my roles, so my main goal is to really improve before audition season, given I normally film them in December. I do have a variation showcase coming up on the 8th, so hopefully I can feel confident in that.

One thing I would REALLY like to focus on is my jumps! I feel like my jumps used to be one of my best skills, but recently they just feel heavy. Very excited about the day dedicated to that!

Very excited about this challenge all together!
