Just did the flexibility flow, 2 days post leg day…. My body is so grateful 😂 been getting up to gym before I go to work and actually not hating it like I have in the past… might have a little something to do with the excellent programming and lovely community here!😉

Also did lifted lines! I missed out for over a week bc of nutcracker so it felt good to get back into it. 🤍

Coming back to this post to share that I have survived 6 shows in 3 days, in my first nutcracker guesting :)) thankful for this app community and the strength and confidence is has helped me gain!

My nutcracker challenge this year is the Spanish hot cocoa divert, and the choreography is lots of jumps, ending with super fast Italian fouettés. I feel like I’m getting shot out of a cannon every time- I want to focus on controlling the takeoffs and landings. Shout out to my ankles... ha! I think this training block is going to be exactly what I need and I’m so excited to get into the gym and try out everything.

A goal of mine has been to do 1 pull up on my own. I went from needing a 55 lb assist to being able to do it with a 25lb assist. I also moved from a dumbbell chest press to being able to use the smith machine. I’ve also seen progress in the end range of my ankle mobility which has been my main hang up since my surgery, and I think using weight to get that deep plié range has been so helpful in getting back to doing allegro. So excited for this next block!!

Been pretty consistent in going to the gym/class, and did a rehearsal on pointe for the first time in 5 months!

My goal is to not let any self consciousness stop me from doing an exercise. The people of planet fitness can handle me doing something weird, I’m sure. Also… Doing stairmaster for cardio after leg day? DIABOLICAL but you know what I’m here for it anyway. Let’s go girlies
