My goal is to be more consistent and intentional with my training schedule, with TBB and flexibility training now that I’m not in a rehearsal period for a few weeks. I also want to try something new, with Pilates reformer class once a week to diversify my cross training.

I LOVE this! My company also does a non traditional nutcracker, but ours is set to duke Ellington’s jazz suite for the first act. Our snow pas was also two female dancers last year!

My company does a nutcracker called Nutcracker with a Twist 🍸 Set in the 1920s, the first act is set to Duke Ellington’s jazz nutcracker suite and features jazzy party ladies instead of parents, lots of charlestons, and our nutcracker taps! The second act is more traditional, Tchaikovsky’s original suite, and with sweets as each of the diverts.

I’m dancing Dewdrop and party lady this year! Here’s a pic from when I debuted the role last year 🌸 the costume will be different this year!

I’m dancing dewdrop in the nutcracker for the 2nd year. My main goal is to improve my endurance and build up my core and overall strength for better control behind my movements. Im also dealing with back pain and quad/hip flexor tightness so I’m working to prevent/pre-hab that as much as I can this season.
