Okay, so I’m not sure my legs are going any higher in devant…in this case, my second photo even looks a bit lower 😬 but I feel like it’s not as much of a struggle and I feel more on top of my standing leg.

I’m honestly noticing and trusting the work of my extensions (devant) exercises in my overall posture! As a fitness instructor, I’m often looking down at people and I was noticing that my hip flexor were being shortened all the time while my hamstrings were being lengthened, creating a lot of anterior pelvic tilt. Now I know devant work will be doing a lot of the same shortening/lengthening BUT now my hipflexors are actually getting stronger and I’m aware of my pelvic placement in every day standing more.

My extensions feel more effortless when I stop “prioritizing static stretches” and focus on “strength and mobility drills in full ROM”.

Happy birthday! 🥳

I’ve been doing the devant and range of motion sessions as I’ve been nursing a big back injury for the past two months so I’ve cut back loads. I’m definitely feeling my quads more and also my glute in my stabilizing leg! I’m also easing back to dance as my back is getting better little by little and I’ve noticed waaaaay more comfort in my inner thighs/hips in low squat-like positions (which is extra exciting because I’ve felt like I’m losing the ROM there since my 30s).
